Sporting Achievements

Written by Ms McCallum
A big well done to our U14 girls, who played their first ever 11-a-side football game and won 2 – 1 against Prestwick! Goals from Alys Fiddes and Hollie Fulton sealed the win. Thank you to Miss Kennedy for leading and inspiring the team. In addition to this, huge congratulations to Erin Rumsey, who competed in Rotterdam in the 17 – 18 European Teens CrossFit category— despite being only 16. Erin won her category, which is an outstanding achievement!
Senior Volleyball
Written by Ms McCallum Our Senior Volleyball teams played Stewarton Academy in February! The girls lost 2 – 1 after an incredibly close 33 – 31 first set, came back strongly in the second, and just missed out in the final set.
Scottish Handball- German Competition
Written by Callie Alexander & Alice Campbell, S1 There are 2 girls from Marr College that have went to Germany to play handball. A few of our S1s went to speak to Mr Reid about the girls and their travels. He said: I have 2 S2 girls who will be travelling to Germany with the Scottish Handball Team next week. Millie Rorison and Jessica Fiddes. And told us they got so good at handball by training with our very own team, Marr. He told us that Millie has an older brother who also played handball and that Jessica has a twin who plays football.
Not only are they exceptionally good at their sport but they also have amazing personalities. Their personalities show ambition, community, respect and equality, our school values.
Having respect for teammates( community) striving to be better working with others, building up themselves and the sport they love. Millie and Jessica are currently on a trip to Germany. Wanting, helping to build future careers while loving and embracing the sport( handball) that they play. Jessica and Millie have very supporting and strong personalities.
They deserved to go to Germany and fulfil their dreams. The handball went well, and the girls thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We are all extremely proud of them. They are stars! Good job girls!
