Welcome Ms McCallum – Acting Head Teacher

Congratulations to Ms McCallum who is stepping in as Acting Head Teacher. We think this was a great decision as she is experienced, responsible and well-liked throughout the school.
As Acting Head Teacher, Ms McCallum will help to run the school, support staff and students, and make sure the school continues to thrive. She will also help to keep order in the school and communicate with students, staff and parents. people do and awards they win. It would be great if we could find out the great things the pupils can do, and we can let everyone know.
What can students and staff do to make your time in this job more enjoyable?
To make the school more enjoyable, students and staff can promote how proud they are to be at Marr College, and how great it is to work and learn here.
We are excited to see her bring in new ideas for the whole community and we wish her luck for the coming months as she takes on this amazing role. We asked some questions, and these are her answers.
What are you most excited about with this new job?
I am excited to work with other people, and other head teachers in the community and let them know we are the best school.
What are your main priorities while you ' re Acting Head Teacher?
It is important that our young people get the best results they possibly can. We had 96 S4- S6 ' s get Level 6 in First Aid, and many students were doing Level 5 Barista with Mrs Anderson.
What things are you keen to keep the same and are there any small changes you would like to make?
I would like to inform the community more about things that young
How will decisions be handled while the school is in transition?
If a decision is to be made, we will consult our young people, the learning agency and staff. I have worked at Marr College for 23 years and I am very excited to make the best decisions to make the school better.
