Student
Conference
On Monday 12th
December we held
our
first
student
conference in the
Assembly Hall. This
was
aimed
at
engaging
young
people
in
school
improvement
activities.
Students worked in
groups to discuss
topics such as the
vision and values of
the
school,
what
makes an excellent
lesson,
eco-schools
and anti-bullying. The
conference involved
approximately
100
pupils, mainly from S1-
S3.
Their thoughts and
feedback
will
be
shared with staff and
will help develop
improvement plans
moving
forward.
Thank you to all the
students
who
participated.

A number of students
had been taking part
in a rural skills class
prior to the holidays.
The group have been
learning
to
plant
crops
such
as
potatoes
and
strawberries. With the
colder weather, the
group have been
developing
their
landscaping skills by
planting grasses at
the stepped area to
the North of the
school and have
recently
been
working on a path for
easier
access
of
materials
to
the
school garden area.
We can’t wait to see
their next set of crops!
