Alternatively , oil the out- side of your dog bowls and push down a little into the concrete form , adding weight inside to keep them secure and straight . This way , you are creating a recess for the bowls . Let the concrete cure in the form for at least 48 hours , before removing the bowls or removing it from the form and lightly sanding any rough corners . After the slab is fully dry , seal with a concrete sealer to protect it from moisture and stains . Next , you will cut the wood for the base .
