CARLE PUBLISHING TIMELINE A LOOK BACK & FORWARD Every quarter Carle Publishing intends to keep their readers up-to-date on what's happening within the company. For the inaugurial issue, we are giving you a look at our past and how the company got to where it is today. Sit back and enjoy our journey – we will also included a few sneak peaks coming soon! Jun 2014. Recognizing that the company had a flawed business model, Carle Publishing changed its magazine programs enabling a more flexible and superior product at a higher price. The result: all four insurance agencies said yes! However, the 14 garden centers, acting as a group, said no. The team digs in to rebuild the company. Spring 2012. Out of the basement of his home, Andy Buyting launches the first 32-page semi- customized magazines with 12 garden centers and one insurance agency. The Home & Garden Magazine and the Risk & Business Magazine programs are born. Jun-Oct 2014. Focusing on insurance agencies, the team grew its Client- Partners base from four to eight agencies across Canada. 2013 2012 2015 2014 Spring 2013. Andy signs three other insurance agencies onto the Risk & Business Magazine program and two new garden centers onto the Home & Garden Magazine program. Apr 2013. Carle Publishing is incorporated as a business with investor-partners Tony Lillios & Heidi Huettner. Jun 2013. The company moves into its first 220sq.ft. office and hires its first full time employee; Stacey as the VP of Everything. Oct-Nov 2013. The company grows to three full time employees (now including Keith and Jay) and moves into a larger 520sq.ft. office space. 6 | CARLEPUBLISHING.COM Jan 2015. Between Oct ‘14 and Jan ‘15, through shear grit and determination, Andy, Keith and Stacey grow the Client-Partner base to 16 agencies throughout Canada as well as the first Client-Partner in the U.S. Jun-Aug 2015. The team grows again by adding Erika in sales and Jessica as its Chief Designer & Marketing Manager. Oct 2015. By fall 2015, the company has grown again and is helping 24 insurance agencies on both sides of the border.
