golf while emphasizing life skills and character development. CWGA is committed to supporting and celebrating youth golf. However, anyone can help us in supporting First Tee. You can join us by doing a little spring cleaning to gather any gently used golf clubs, golf bags, golf shoes, working push carts and golf balls, especially colored balls, their favorite, and donating them to this amazing youth program. You can bring any equipment to the activity center on March 6 or contact Marikate Book, Jean Czubin, Marianna Weise or Mary Jane Hunt on our fabulous Membership Committee to pick up any items. The deadline for signing up for the luncheon catered by Party Time is March 3 and the signup book is located in the Pro Shop.
It is hard to believe that the opening of CWGA’ s 2025 season is only a month away! If the golf Gods grant us decent weather, March can be a great month to play golf. So, there is still time to join those of us who have been playing winter golf. If you are interested, Linda Peck will be happy to add your name to the growing list!

to get the social connections going. Don’ t be shy. We can’ t wait to meet you or see you again. Social Sundays are all about inclusion, fun and real connections.
April 6 SPIRIT SUNDAY will return!( save the date)
Our first Spirit Sunday happened in February and the universal theme was interconnectedness. About a dozen Charbonneau residents gathered to explore seven faith and cultural traditions. It was not a bad turnout considering it was our first one, and it competed with Super Bowl Sunday! The potluck spread included chili and cornbread, chocolate chip cookies, crudites, a cheese plate and more. There was deep conversation, delicious food, community building and practices, including: meditation on belonging, centering practice and gratitude practice.
April’ s theme is love and compassion. Love, empathy and kindness are universally celebrated as transformative and divine qualities across spiritual traditions and belief systems— from the Christian Agape to Metta in Buddhism, to more humanistic altruism. Loving / kindness

meditation will be taught as a practice for softening our hearts.
As always, Building Community Connections events require no sign up, are free and are open to friends and family / non-Charbonneau resident guests.
