Once your side top piping is done , use a Loyal 104 and white buttercream , move to the top of your cake and hold your bag so the narrow part of the tip is facing outwards . Similar to the swag piping in step 3 , this is going to create a dainty , frilly effect . Holding the tip so that is it parallel to the top cake surface , start using a light-medium pressure and push your buttercream onto the cake . As it exits the tip , start to move your hand up and down to create a frilled effect . As you ’ re doing this , match the speed of your piping with your turntable . Depending on the pressure , the motion and the speed you use , you are able to create different effects .

I doubled down on this effect and used Sky Blue with another Loyal 104 and repeated step 15 on top of the white piping .
