CONTINUED MARCH 2019 itsnever2latebooks.com ever, since my drawing is imaginary trust me for what my mind pictures. You will not see it for real. Using the thinking part of my brain, it will take me to a place where used machine parts are discard- ed. Once I have found an old forklift truck chassis complete with 4 wheels and usable tires they will be set aside in a corner of my brain. I hope it is more than large enough to store all of these made-up items to the end of this make belief project. Next, I will go into a forest to find a pretend log big enough to saw up some illusory lumber. This free wood is perfect. There, we now have a small size golf cart 2- seat front bench. Hope the pretend slivers don’t poke my bottom. Now the stickler is to dream up a propulsion apparatus such as a small gas engine or a similar size electric motor. So far it worked out and I got it memorized. Then fantasize meeting a greased up auto garage repair person wearing THE GOLF CART CHRONICLES worn coverall with hard-toe boots and wearing a rag hanging out if his/ her back pocket. Good news, the me- chanic will install my fake gas engine to fit the chassis. After securing a series of old pipes to form the necessary body and roof for my cart, the job was turned over to Ralph the imaginary welder. He will make sense of my fake pencil draw- ing/plan/instructions. While that is being done Ralph got his two grandmothers to make a can- vas seat cover for the front bench seat and a canvas cover to serve as a roof. The grandmothers got their kids to hunt for a windshield and a metal hood for the engine/motor compart- ment. That gang made a racking to hold 2 golf bags behind the front bench. Then Pauline (Ralph’s spouse) add- ed the finishing touches. Her tole painting skills were put to good use. A gold and black logo were added to the back of my rubber duckie front bumper. This project caused me to suffer a se- vere case of brain drain. I must take a year off to recover. Before I sign off here is a picture of my not real McDummy’s Flog Trac: It has been so much fun playing with words to bring about amusing and entertaining stories portraying people and other living things as out of the ordinary. So, I wrote, and wrote, and wrote for over sixty- five years. Each article was stored away in a box never to see the light of day until now.
