A motion was made by Julie Ginter, seconded by Darcy Berget, to approve the 2026 Champ Show sponsorship package as presented. Motion carried unanimously.
Nominating: Ann Goebel
Absent. Ann would like to have board members Julia Northwick, Dustin Heck and Courtney Betsch on her committee, and is still looking for committee members non board positions.
Procedures: Sara Schwartz Sara is working on getting electronic copies of all procedures from Sandy, and will distribute once available.
Publicity: Lori Taylor
Absent. 2025-2026 WSCA Royal court in attendance presented on their positive experience at the 2025 NFR in Las Vegas. They are getting excited to participate in the upcoming Winter Carnival. Queen Kristi Van Camp was asked to speak at the 4H Winter Round up and is looking into that as a great way to promote WSCA. The court is beginning to plan their 2026 Royalty Fundraiser Horse Show.
Royalty: Bridget Behrns Bridget is looking into venue and dates for the 2026 royalty clinic.
Rulebook: Annie Mickelson
New rulebook chair Annie Mickelson presented her vice-chair Kelly Erhart. The committee has received a rule petition to allow a Walk / Trot horse to enter a walk / trot / lop class.
Safety Committee: Corey Swartout Absent. Nothing to report.
Scholarship: Julie Gintner Julie is working on getting thank yous from scholarship recipients put together to be posted in the spotlight.
Stalls: Tim Wamplfer
Absent. James Duenow reported that the National Percheron Association is looking to rent stalls for their upcoming show at the MN State Fairgrounds in July. James is working with Tim to put together a quote, that includes trucking and them hiring a work force to set up and take down.
Old Business:
Board member agreements were distributed last month as well as over email. Board members are required to turn that in as soon as possible, and ask President Lynn-Ellen any questions they may have.
New Business:
Committee budgets are due at the February Board meeting.
We are working with Old National Bank to update our bank account and signing information. President Lynn-Ellen St. Martin entertained a motion to remove previous signers from bank account.
