PART 2 • Using game analysis features
The lower part of the dialogue provides a number of file tabs
for you to click and reveal a plethora of other annotation tools.
Most of these will reveal commentary boxes which allow you
to type remarks either before or after a move (or after a game,
in the case of the “Introduction” and “Afterword” tabs). But
three of these tabs are notable for the other tools which are
revealed by clicking them:
• “Standard classes” allows you to categorize games by specific
tactical and positional motifs (as well as specific categories), and key
these themes to specific moves in the game. Some advanced chess
programs (like Chess Assistant) can do database searches and find
games based on these motifs.
