TRACK ATHLETES BRING HOME STATE MEDALS
High school track athletes brought home several medals and a state championship title from the UIL State Track & Field Meet May 12-13 at the Mike A . Meyers Stadium in Austin .
Timberview High School senior Taylor Fingers earned the 5A State Championship title in the girls long jump . Fingers was also a state runner up in the triple jump .
Additionally , the Timberview girls took third in the 4x100-meter relay . The relay team comprised Fingers , Norah Nwonumah , Skye Fields , and Hanyla Milligan . Timberview ’ s Alex Moore placed third in the 110-meter dash , and fellow wolf Cameron Bates earned second place in the 300-meter race .
Nathan Breese represented Mansfield High School in the wheelchair division , earning third place in shot put , second place in the 100-meter dash , and second place in the 400-meter dash .
