Sadly, the Honourable
Sir John died on 
Sept. 7, 2007 from
complications of a stroke at
Tapion Hospital. He was 82.
Two funeral services
were held to celebrate 
Sir John's life. One at Saint
Lucy’s Parish in Micoud – the
constituency he represented
and another at the Minor
Basilica of the Immaculate
Conception Cathedral in
Castries on Sept. 18, 2007.
Per his wishes, Sir
John was cremated
and his ashes spread in the
Troumasse River at his
estate in Mahaut.
