ENVISION THE WORLD W/OUT THIS PROBLEM
When people stop becoming victims of sexual harassment employers will know exactly sexual harassment is. Schools will protect their students from being traumatized because of the experience of being harassed. We won’t have presidents having several allegations brought up. Women will not be scared to walk down the street by themselves. The victims families and/or loved ones won’t have to worry about them. Women can wear whatever they want, to please themselves and no one else.
STAKEHOLDERS
I contacted 3 lawyers. Craig Gillespie from The Gillespie Law Firm, Andrew Boorse from APBoorse PLLC, and Elliot Isaac from Law Office of Elliot S Isaac P.C.. I asked them each a series of questions. The questions where as followed How many cases of sexual harassment had you had this past year? In your opinion why do you think we had more than 13,055 allegations in 2018 alone? What laws do we have in Arizona to protect teenagers from sexual harassment? What about for employees? How many allegations do you think will be made in 2019?
Why do you think that so many men in power are harassing women? Why do you think that only Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Vermont are the only states that require or strongly encourage employers to provide sexual harassment training? What should an anti-harassment policy state? What should employers do to prevent and correct harassment? What should schools do to prevent and correct harassment? Not one of them has answered but I will reach out again.
INTERVENTION PLAN
I came up with the intervention plan of a website. This website is to inform people about what sexual harassment is and the different organizations that can help and places people can donate to help sexual assault/harassment victims. My website shouldn’t cost anything to create. But it will take me around 3 hours to make. If the website doesn’t work, then I could do focus groups rather than fliers because I feel that focus groups would be the better option.
