Activity # 5

Teaching pronunciation:

vowel: /i/ and /I/

Materials:

Flashcards with words on them containing the sounds studied.

Stage: Controlled practice

Procedure:

1.Students form two lines in front of the board and the first two students in each line do not face the board.

2.The teacher reads out: word with sound /i/ or word with sound /I/.

3.When the teacher says turn around, the students will compete on who finds the word with the sound the teacher said,first. On the board there will be several options.

Activity.

1.Students are on two lines facing the whiteboard. The first two in each line will do not face the board.

3. Teacher: Find a word with the /i/ sound.

Teacher: Ready? Turn around!!

4.The two students compete to find a word with the sound the teacher said.

5. The first one to find it will win a point for their team.
