Types of Media:
Firstly, it should be noted that the media are generally divided into three
major groups (depending on the types of media they encompass):
Mass Media: They are those that affect a greater number of people at a
given time. They are also known as measured means.
Auxiliary or Complementary means: These affect a smaller number of
people at a given time. They are also known as unmeasured media.
Alternative Media: These are new forms of product promotion, some
ordinary and others very innovative.
