Learning Journeys
Staying connected to real-world developments is essential in preparing students for the future. In support of this, staff learning journeys( SLJs) this year involved partnerships with 10 organisations across the Care, Green, and Digital Economies, sectors identified as growth areas in the Skills Demand for the Future Economy report by SkillsFuture Singapore. These engagements provided our teachers with valuable insights into how organisations remain relevant, adapt to change, and respond to evolving industry trends.
Such experiences deepen classroom practice and ensure that students benefit from an education grounded in both current realities and future possibilities. An example from one teacher’ s reflection and take is shared below:
“ Sree Narayana Mission has really grown from serving just one community to helping all Singaporeans, no matter their background. It’ s inspiring to see them stay inclusive and innovative. One phrase that really stood out to me during my visit was“ spiritualising the service.” It reminded me that serving“ the last, the lost, and the least” isn’ t just about practical help, it’ s about bringing heart, meaning, and care into everything we do. Every small act of kindness and care matters.”
