At SJI, our commitment to placing students at the heart of all we do drives our efforts to keep teaching relevant, responsive, and future-focused. In line with the school’ s theme of Celebrating Growth & Shaping Possibilities Together, we continue to invest in meaningful professional development for our teachers, ensuring they remain inspired, well-equipped, and connected to the latest educational thinking.
Professional Development Launch
On 16 April, the Professional Development( PD) team launched the year’ s programme with a refreshing departure from conventional formats. Embracing the spirit of Open Space Technology( OST) meetings, the session fostered a vibrant marketplace of ideas where teachers from across academies and departments could engage organically, share experiences, and explore collaborative possibilities.
The dynamic, interest-led format encouraged cross-disciplinary conversations and sparked new initiatives, all with the common goal of enhancing student learning and experience. The energy in the hall was unmistakable, as educators connected meaningfully, united by a shared purpose to better serve our students.
The examples here offer a glimpse into the vibrant learning culture among our staff and how it ultimately benefits every SJI student.
