Welcome Note From The Creative Director
o often that, it has become an Art-world established insult to the viewer,
as well as a “cop-out” for the author’s inability to speak eloquently
about his or her work and intent. Not having an alternate language
for ones work is evidence of lack in learning and the understanding
of the function of Art and effective communication. Not all works of
Art are intended for sale, some are temporal and designed to deliver a message and fade out of
time and space. A work with a limited lifespan of one month has to speak clearly and concisely.
The message has only a short span of time to be delivered, requiring multiple methods of
communication. Such as; lectures, manifestations, writing of statements, deliver interviews and
process-videos with narration.
In delivering the message of a Work of Art, it is important that the maker is evidence to its
delivery. Artists must be present at their own exhibitions and avail themselves to interrogations by
the viewer, press, students, art writers, potential buyers, clients who sometimes become longterm
alliances, as the work garners followers and believers.
