Le certificazioni sono sempre più importanti / Certifications are ever more important
In fact , there are several network topologies ( mesh and star ), frequencies ( 2.4 GHZ , 868 / 915 MHZ , 169 MHZ ), and communication protocols and standars ( IEEE 802.15.4 , LoRaWan , NBIoT ). Each solution has advantages and disadvantages , both of which need to be properly evaluated in order to be best suited for the specific application . Algorab is able to offer both internal and external nodes , with Zhaga or Nema connection , which can communicate on the 2.4 GHZ or 868 / 915 MHz frequency , as well as simultaneously ( DualBand ) so as to benefit from the advantages of both frequencies . While favouring the mesh network , these nodes make it possible to structure a network that works in parallel in mesh and star topology . The communication protocols are also used according to specific needs . For outdoor applications we mainly work with IEEE 802.15.4 , LoRaWAN and BLE 5.0 , whereas for indoor applications EnOcean can be used ; moreover , if convenient , we use various other standard protocols ( ZigBee , Thred , 6LowPan , WMBus , KNX RF , etc .). Finally , all Algorab nodes can be upgraded remotely ( OTA - Over The Air ) to install improved SW and FW updates , as well as any developments in communication protocols and standards or new features .
Certifications Product certification is becoming increasingly important in a market where competition is fierce , although not always adequately qualified . Algorab is the first Italian company to certify remote control nodes to the DALI Alliance ’ s D4i , the innovative and newest global standard created to promote broad adoption of IoT connectivity in the lighting industry .
In addition , Algorab is a member of the TALQ Consortium , which recently defined a global standard for the interfacing of the different elements that make up a Smart City network , regardless of the supplier . Finally , all Algorab products , in addition to the mandatory CE certification , have received voluntary ENEC certification , a third-party body that certifies compliance with a set of harmonized electrical safety standards ( EN ).
The future Although strengthened by its current expertise , Algorab is always committed to innovation and to facing new technological challenges , both in the field of public lighting and in other sectors , well aware that the development of Smart Cities , and more generally of IoT , is still in its early stages and that it will bring significant benefits in the future to all the actors and users involved .
