Leader – that’ s what comes to mind when I think of Dr. Aneeta Bhatia. For as long as I’ ve known her, she’ s always been a leader. I’ ve had the opportunity to work with her on many hospital committees within our health system and, in recent years, with GLMS. Aneeta has always been on the forefront, leading her colleagues and most importantly, leading with heart. She advocates not just for us as physicians, but she advocates for us as people. She sees that we, as physicians, are not just about our specialty and our patients, but we are comprised of spirit and compassion that drives us to be who we are, because that’ s who she is. She is a leader with spirit and compassion, and we are all blessed that she will lead us into this next chapter of GLMS.

I have had the opportunity to witness Dr. Bhatia’ s participation in organized medicine for several years. I would often see her in the doctor’ s lounge at Jewish Hospital. She was eager to discuss issues about health and wellness in community, the state of medicine and the importance of the physicians’ role in healthcare. She is a compassionate and dedicated physician. In addition to providing direct patient care, she has served on numerous committees and held leadership positions at Jewish Hospital to include Professor of Cardiac Anesthesiology and Chief of the Medical Staff at Jewish Hospital.
I have also observed her leadership skills during her years of involvement in the Greater Louisville Medical Society( GLMS). We have worked together on committees, participated in seminars, various workshops and attended numerous meetings and events in support of GLMS activities. She is a proven leader. I look forward to her leading GLMS as President for the 2026-2027 term. Congratulations Aneeta!
