With a growing interest in exploring what lies beneath the seas
surface, learning about local maritime history has informed the
design of this adaptation, ‘Lost at Sea.’
It is exciting to ‘bring to the surface’ significant wrecks which draw
attention to the rich history of Portsmouth as a naval base and the
development of its vessel throughout different events in history. The
wrecks have been used for different requirements which have been
preserved by the silty sea bed. Collaborations with Historic England
& the Maritime Archaeology trust provide an opportunity for these
protected structures to be explored by may people who would not be
able to do so in real life.
