With considerations for the historic value of the building, understanding the building and its materials has helped inform the design of the museum as well as its narrative. Despite the thickness of the walls, there are fireplaces and other indents which expose the layers of the building, showing its history and changes. The materials will be complimented by new materials which will help to enhance the design and atmosphere of the building. Accessibility will also be improved to allow all aspects of the design to be more accessible especially the roof as this will draw more peoples attention. 9
