We interviewed Mrs Lewis, Head of Milk House; we asked her questions about her views on the Induction Week process.
Interviewer: What do you think the most important thing about induction week is?
Mrs Lewis: I think the most important thing is to
help the children get rid of all the worries they have,
such as getting their head flushed down the toilet
but it never happens.
Interviewer: What do you expect from the S1s?
Mrs Lewis: I expect them to be respectful, not
cheeky, to do as they're told and be nice.
Interviewer: What is the most important part of induction week?
Mrs Lewis: The first day is the most important thing.
Interviewer: Who will be involved in the induction week?
Mrs Lewis: S1 up to pupil support - everybody will
be involved.
Interviewer: What will the new first year be doing?
Mrs Lewis: Well Mr Herbert will talk to them about
starting off as a blank piece of paper and every year
the piece of paper will fill up.
Interviewer: Who will be taking the first year around the school?
Mrs Lewis: Ermm there will be S6s be taking certain
groups and they will be helping them around the
school, but you can also ask people to ask where to
go.
