3.1 Marketing

Market research prior to event planning identified four segments and identified the important event characteristics necessary to meet their needs. The results were positive, confirming people would be interested in the event and subsequently multiple marketing platforms were used to reach the target audiences (Hanks, 2010; Hill, O’Sullivan & O’Sullivan, 2003).
