We sat down with Alice from Married to Books to ask her some questions about her experience as a book blogger.

Alice is a teen book blogger and reviewer from England. Her strongest reading genre is Teen Fiction, but she has branched out to reading Adult Psychological Thrillers, ChickLit, New Adult and Paranormal Romances. Recently she surpassed her Goodreads reading goal of 200 books for 2018. Be sure to check out her blog HERE.

LIT LOVERS: Hi Alice! Thanks so much for sitting down with Literary Lovers today to discuss blogging.

Let's get right into it, shall we What made you want to become a book blogger?

ALICE: When I first joined the Goodreads community in 2015, lots of users I met on the website had their own blogs. I enjoy writing and talking about books, so decided to put the two of them together.

LIT LOVERS: What has been your biggest obstacle since becoming a blogger? What has been your biggest accomplishment?

ALICE: Finding the time to upload a post regularly. I was balancing coursework, family and book reviewing commitments so struggled with time management. On the other hand, my biggest accomplishment which has happened to me twice, is starting off a blog tour! My blog was selected to promote two new releases first, so this was a fun time to celebrate with my subscribers and the publishers/authors!

LIT LOVERS: That's quite the accomplishment! Congratulations! What author have you read the most books from?

ALICE: Jacqueline Wilson, I started reading her books aged six and own most of her back catalogue. Her writing style really pulls me in and storylines that really opened my eyes.

LIT LOVERS: Is there a book you have read multiple times? If so, what book?

ALICE: The Hunger Games is honestly my go-to whenever I want to re-read a book. I love that trilogy since the age I first read it (13, now 20!). The trilogy as a whole really kickstarted my interest for reading and reviewing books.

LIT LOVERS: What is your must have beverage when you are reading? Tea? Coffee? Wine?!

ALICE: Has to be a caffeine free fruit tea either from the supermarket Lidi's or a loose leaf tea from brand T2 called Southern Sunrise. It is mainly a lemon flavoured tea.

LIT LOVERS: What advice would you give to new bloggers?

ALICE: Choose one day a week, draft multiple posts up for your blog and then upload your posts across the following week. It really helps to have a diary, so you can write in the days you've uploaded a post!
