My name is Vanessa Bernal I am a senior.
During the summer of my junior year in the
club of Youth in Action, we had different
activities in which we help the communities
and do things that will benefit the people
around us. We started a campaign to stop
the 710 to expanding over to the LA. River.
This is when I first wrote my poem. The first
day at school I was signed up to, take the
A.P. English. However, I decided to change
my class. That experience I had had in the
summer made want to enroll in the creative
writing class. I am glad I joined this class
because it has become one of the best
experiences. It is a class where I can feel a
little more united with people sharing their
beliefs as well were thoughts and talks stay
in the room.
My name is Jose Zuniga, 12th
grade. I started writing poetry my
sophomore year and ever since
then the idea of living without it
is preposterous. Poetry is a way I
can express what I truly feel even
when others may not understand
it. As an English class I chose to
take Advanced Composition. It’s a
really great class for all those who
feel writing is what they believe is
a way to escape reality.
