“Oh no! I completely forgot I have to substitute today. I’m so sorry but we have to
go!”
Elijah looked at her and frowned. He hoped they could do this again sometime but
he was too nervous to ask.
“Ok lets go Lydia. I can’t be the reason for you being late to work.”
“Thank you for understanding Elijah.”
They got in the car end Lydia quickly drove Elijah as close to his home as she
could.
“Thank you for today Lydia… It was the most fun I’ve had in a long time.”
Lydia smiled and gazed into Elijah’s eyes.
“ So did I Elijah. I hope we can do this again sometime.”
Suddenly a rush of courage entered Elijah and before he knew it he looked at Lydia
and said
“Lydia do you think maybe I can take you on a date?”
She blushed and looked up at him with her beautiful brown eyes. Elijah’s heart
began to race. He really hoped she’d say yes.
“I’d love that. Call me later tonight and we can talk about the details.”
