Lion's Roar April 2022 | Page 4

We have already begun the process of enrolling students for the 2022-2023 school year.  A special re-enrollment period was offered to currently enrolled families during the first two weeks of March.  This gave parents an opportunity to secure their students’ seats for the new year before enrollment was opened to the public. This special opportunity is especially important for classes that are expected to reach maximum capacity very soon in the enrollment process, including:

K-Prep: maximum capacity met

Grade 1 : surpassed target enrollment, one seat left to maximum

Grade 2, already reached target enrollment

Grade 3: already reached target enrollment

We are able to place students on waiting lists when that is necessary.

This year, for the first time, families are able to re-enroll and submit first-time applications online.  (For the past couple of years, we were only able to offer online re-enrollment to families during the special early re-enrollment period.)  If you have not yet re-enrolled your student, you may still do so online by using your Sycamore login credentials here

Teacher In-Service

On Wednesday, March 9, CCS teachers and administrators used the afternoon for continuous professional development.  We were blessed to have CCS parent, Jessemyn Pekari, who is also a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, present to us. Jessemyn provided us with an overview on best practices for helping students work through anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder. Her presentation was especially beneficial as we also seek ways to support our young people as they navigate the rough terrain of the past two years of walking through a pandemic. We are grateful for her investment in our faculty’s ongoing professional development.
