Peter then began to develop his skill and interest in photography even further, focusing on the opportunity to develop a financially indepen- dent business, experimenting with different mediums and settings, even while he was playing and coaching professional hockey in the United Kingdom. In 2006, Peter came to Australia in a coaching capacity as the Senior Coach for the Hale Women’s Hockey Team. This visit was the beginning of his love of the Australian landscapes and furthermore, the people and the decision was made to remain in the country. The year 2007 was the start of his current business, “Memories of Tomorrow Photography”. The launch of the website featuring his individualised style saw over 30,000 engagements within the first few months. Learning from the beginning to shoot in live and manual modes; allowing more control over the subject, lighting, tone and positioning, was a point of difference in Peter’s work, which was promptly highlighted by global media outlets, including the UK Daily Mail, Metro Newspaper UK and The Sun, just to name a few. By 2011, after a change in direction, his work was now global through PetaPixel, Bored Panda and even a Chinese News Channel, which received over 85 000 likes and comments in response to the report. Peter was by now published in over 1000 articles worldwide, with his works translated in many foreign languages, including French and Spanish. His “Rinscapes” and “Eyescapes” were now a focal subject for international discussion, with some established photogra- phers claiming that his work was not authentic and that the results achieved could not have been done in the way that Peter claimed. This generated more interest and greater publicity, but interestingly enough, the Australian media was slow to acknowledge the talent of the local resident. The small regional newspaper, The Harvey Report- er, which focuses on community based news was the only Australian Media outlet to recognise this talent during the global rise. When Peter and his wife Jody travel, the camera comes out for the more relaxed, nature based photography. Drone photography has become another specialist focus for Peter, with stunning images of his local surroundings. These images are natural and breathtaking; the right place at the right time shots. To perform a Google search on Peter’s images today, there are over 50 000 entries, growing by the day. You can see more of Peter’s work on Facebook, Instagram and the Memories of Tomorrow web- site. Details below. Take special note of what is in Peter’s kit bag! Three cameras and twelve lenses…no wonder he is known as the Ninja Photographer, with his customised body harness! It is always a privilege to write about local talent and what is gifted to the global community through passion. For those of you who also have an eye for photography, in Peter’s words, “If you can see it, you can shoot it!” www.memoriesoftomorrow.photography www.facebook.com/memoriesoftomorrow Instagram.com/peter_adamsshawn
