Recipe Of The Month
Maacher Jhaal (Curried Fish with Mustard )

Aloo Posto (Potato Cooked With Poppy

Ingredients
Potatoes 5 to 6 medium.
Poppy
Seeds
(Khuskhus/Posto)
Soaked 4 Tablespoons.
Mustard Oil 2 Teaspoons.
Nigella (Kalonji) ½ teaspooon.
2 Green chillies.
Haldi (turmeric)
Salt to taste.
Method
1. Heat mustard oil in a non-stick pan till it
smokes.
Turn down heat.
2. Cut potatoes into ½ inch cubes. Drain and
Grind (khuskhus) poppy seeds to a fine paste.
3. Heat the mustard oil again, add onion seeds
and stir add potatoes and mix well. Cover and
cook for 5 minutes.
4. Add (khuskhus) poppy seed paste and mix.
Cover and cook again till the potatoes are
Done.
