Allow me to whisper something to your weary heart today : God is not more in love with a future , holier version of you . He loves you now , fully . He is waiting to speak the truth to you , to care for you , to ask you to keep trusting Him no matter how little you feel you have to offer right now .
If you have always found your worth in what you can do and how well you can do it , it might feel counterintuitive to allow God to love you simply because you are His child . But remember this : God knew exactly who He was getting when He chose you . He knew your strengths and gifts , and He also knew your weaknesses and the seasons when you would get weary or weak — and He chose you still .
