Ian Mills – 1987 Ford Escort RS Turbo
Ian bought the Escort at a local classic car auction but says that although it looked good it didn ’ t drive well at all . He ’ s since put that right with work on the suspension and transmission , and “ it ’ s now a joy to drive and always puts a smile on my face .”
James Tetherton – 1982 Ford Fiesta XR2
James has owned this XR2 twice , originally as his first car and then buying it again at auction in 2019 . A detailed 18-month restoration saw it gain a rebuilt and uprated engine , upgraded suspension and a re-paint in original Caspian Blue . “ It always puts a smile on my face ” he says .
James Williams – 1976 Hillman Imp
The owner ’ s first car back in 2007 , it ’ s been on some memorable trips and played a big part in his wedding . Now fitted with a BMW motorcycle engine and air suspension it also won the UK leg of the Hot Wheels competition . “ It will always be a big part of our lives .”
Joshy Hodson – 1966 Chevrolet C10 Pickup
“ I had always wanted a US classic so buying this was a massive moment ” says Joshy . After an initial re-build its since been transformed again with work on the body , interior , engine and suspension . It ’ s an amazing and very eye-catching truck and been a huge journey adds the owner .
Liam & Ryan Rippard – 1977 Leyland Mini
Twin Liam and Ryan purchased the Mini as a restoration project when they were ten-years-old as both were suffering from serious health issues and wanted something else to focus on . Now 16 years , they were taken to prom in their finished car and can ’ t wait to show it off !
Luke Greenwood – 1991 Peugeot 205 GTi
In mint condition and with a completely standard specification , this legendary hot hatchback is very special . It ’ s previously had an engine rebuild and Luke has attended to some minor issues with the front grille and the interior , and says he “ just plans to hang on to it and enjoy it .”
Mark Farmer – 1971 Volvo P1800
Owned since August 2022 , this Swedish classic was in need of TLC so a restoration started soon after purchase . A lot of time and money has been spent making it look perfect , with the bodywork , engine and interior receiving major attention . “ It had always been a dream to own one .”
Michael Cohen – 1975 MG Midget Jubilee
Michael has owned this completely unique Midget for more than 40 years but it still has just 176 miles on the clock . Exactly as it was built apart from a new battery and stainless steel exhaust , the owner says “ it has never been washed or got wet .” One special car .
Phillip Healey – 1981 Saab 99 Turbo
Owned for just over ten years and in need of restoration , Phillip carried out as much work as possible himself . His first restoration and first time re-spraying a car , he ’ s rightly proud of the result . With so much time and effort spent on the rare Saab “ I can ’ t see myself ever selling it .”
Steve Bartlett – 1971 Porsche 911
A 911 is always special but this one has benefitted from a complete bare-metal restoration with the owner undertaking almost all of the work himself . “ It taught me never to give up ” says Steve . He also discovered that it featured an uprated engine and suspension , plus a factory roll cage .
Tahmid Haque – 1993 BMW 850CSi
An ‘ Individual ’ model with an amazingly lavish specification , this stunning coupe is number 16 of the 160 right-hand drive examples produced . Owned for around a year , Tahmid has done plenty of work to make it absolutely perfect . “ It had such a good history so I bought it within two hours of seeing the advert .”
