SHERIFF ’ S OFFICE
Always remember to call 911 in emergencies . Report a nonemergency incident to the Frederick County Sheriff ’ s Office at 301-600-2071 . If you see suspicious activity or experience theft , vandalism , or any other crime ( no matter how minor ), ALWAYS make a formal police report . Notify your Village Manager subsequently .
TRASH Collection Trash collection is split into two separate days to serve Members best . Doing so allows the trash contractor to begin establishing routes to accommodate the growing community , decrease run-ins with school buses , reduce impeding traffic throughout villages , and collect trash timely . 24 Special Edition 2022-2023

Bulk Household Item Pickup Bulk household item pickup is only scheduled once a year for items not considered regular household waste . This will occur in the spring each year . An approved collection list is shared through LLA communication outlets .
Christmas Tree Collection
A live Christmas tree collection is historically offered annually in January . Please review the calendar in your Member Account for details .
Holiday Trash Collection
Trash pickup will be the next day if a holiday should fall on a regular collection day unless otherwise communicated .
Missed Pickups
To report a missed pickup , please contact your Village Manager .
Trash Receptacles The trash contractor , J & J Trash , supplies one new receptacle ( 95 or 65 gallons ) to each home free of charge . Any non- J & J Trash receptacles must be compatible with a side-arm collection truck . If a compatible non-J & J Trash receptacle is used , J & J will not be responsible for any damage to the can that occurs during or because of the collection . Trash is required to be placed within a receptacle with a lid per LLA regulations . Any trash bags outside of the receptacle with not be collected .
