Q & A With Luxury Road Detail Studio

THE STUDIO THAT TREATS YOUR CAR LIKE A PIECE OF ART
How often should cars be detailed ? We recommend that you have a proper deep clean detail like ours done once a year . After that , the car should have a good hand wash or quick mobile detail every 4 to 6 weeks depending on how dirty it gets and if it is parked outside or not .
How long does it take to detail a car at Luxury Road ?
It really depends on what the car needs . A full interior and exterior detail on a well taken care of car can take a full day . An older car with faded paint that requires correction and is having a ceramic coating applied can take 4 to 5 days . When a car is being detailed at Luxury Road it ’ s so much more than a car wash . Washing the car is just the first step in our process , then the real detailing can begin .
Is it much more expensive to have a car detailed at Luxury Road Detail Studio ? No , it ’ s not . Our prices for details are the same as local car wash detail centers . Ceramic coating prices are higher than most detail centers because we use professional grade Ceramic Pro products that require an enclosed shop and certification to install . Professional grade ceramic
coatings are more durable and last longer than consumer grade coatings sold online , by mobile detailers and car washes .

Here in Laguna , people of all political stripes came together last year several times to demonstrate their support for Ukraine . First , there was a gathering adjacent to City Hall . Second , there was a rally at Main Beach . And third , there was a $ 100,000 fundraiser at Laguna Art Museum . Now that the war is entering its second year , I expect friends and neighbors in Laguna will once again demonstrate their support for Ukraine . Imagine waking up a year ago to find tanks rolling down coast highway , bombing the hospital and indiscriminately blowing up homes in North Laguna , Woods Cove and Top of the World . I dare say everyone in town would be in panic mode . This is precisely the kind of thing that happened on Feb . 24 last year in Ukraine . I will never forget it . My hope is Indy readers won ’ t , either . Denny Freidenrich , Laguna Beach
Theresa Keegan ’ s guest opinion piece comments on Dr . Michael John Mammone ’ s tragic death and murder is a moving tribute to all who serve when our own lives may be in peril .
Thanks , Theresa for making me ( and I hope others with whom shared her viewpoint ) pause and appreciate the day in all its glorious offerings . I , too , didn ’ t know Dr . Mammone , but I join her in mourning him . Peace .

Just when we voted Peter Blake out of office and with it , we thought , Blake ’ s abusive conduct , Michael Ray is determined to keep blowing toxic fumes .
Without any evidence , Ray uses his platform once again to attack his perpetual scapegoat , Village Laguna , and worse yet , sitting Council member , George Weiss , as in his opinion , somehow implicated in the fouling of the City Manager ’ s house .
Ray ’ s longstanding personal animosity toward Village Laguna is galloping directly toward libel . It is time for The Indy to stop this nonsense and suggest that Ray limit his bloviating to embarrassing recollections of bad speeches he ’ s given .
On the matter of the current city manager , rather than trot out the usual targets of his invective , I recommend that Ray query Councilman Mark Orgill about what the councilman learned over the previous three years from longtime current and former city employees , residents and business people about this city manager ’ s qualifications , decision-making , leadership and management skills .
It does not speak well of the current city manager that there have been so many instances of conflict and concern ; her predecessor was almost invisible to residents . He did his job as all such professionals should . He in no way became an issue , nor did he seek to become known as anything other than the person who managed at the direction of the council . And let ’ s not forget that it was Peter Blake who cast the deciding
vote to hire her .
Better yet , rather than spend our taxpayer dollars on outside legal advice over a “$ 20 dollar traffic ticket ,” let me suggest that the council direct the city manager to stop wasting time in city council meetings complaining about individuals who register their concerns about city administration . That is how government works . This kind of unprofessional behavior should be considered by the council during the city manager ’ s next performance review . I see much to be concerned about . After a short break while he ( again ) basks in the reflected glory of his brother and sister-in-law as co-founders of The Discovery Cube , Michael Ray is back in the pages of The Indy ( Feb . 17 edition ) pummeling away ( again ) on his favorite punching bag , Village Laguna .
This time , he slanders “ VL ” by implying without evidence that the group had something to do with the vandalization of the city manager ’ s home . Not content to rest there , he refers to Councilmember George Weiss as a VL “ acolyte ” — again without evidence or even context .
If you must allow Mr . Ray to waste space repeating himself week after week , you might at least change the name of his column to “ Carping on the Coast .” Better yet , just terminate it . The column is not only boring but has become a parody of itself .

ourselves in another ’ s shoes and attempting to approximate what they might be thinking and feeling . In order to be empathetic , we must have a strong desire to understand others ’ thoughts , feelings , needs , desires and values . Therefore , we must first know enough about our values , beliefs , thoughts and feelings to have a basic sense of safety and security .
The more solid and secure we are , the more self-accepting we become . When we accept ourselves , we can extend acceptance to others through an attitude of curiosity and interest in learning how they see the world .
The only way to hear and understand the whole message of another is by truly valuing and respecting their unique individuality . When we respect that we all have the capacity to grow , to progress and to develop , we can then let go of trying to fix , advise and change those we love .
