You have worked extensively in global teams consisting of HR and business leaders. In your experience has there been employee engagement challenges arising due to differences (real/perceived) in the business cultures? How did you overcome these challenges? One of the key challenges that will continue to remain while working in a global environment is that of differing culture, traditions, communication systems and ideologies. The effective manner to handle this is to be empathetic towards differing cultures and systems and help employees understand these differences in a proactive manner. As a HR partner, I have continuously believed in coaching employees and helping them maneuver through these different work cultures.
