A little boy who was not lucky enough to get a school bag or a bench to sit on in his entire school life, a lad
who had come from a village in Bihar where “English” was spoken as “Hingliss”, a struggler and dreamer
who had arrived at Mumbai to get into a B-school but was blocked by the security guards at the gate from
entering the college because of his sense of dressing and his English speaking capabilities has today
reached the position where most of us aspire to be, the Managing Director of one of the largest
international banks, HSBC.
Such a distinguished personality was our guest on 24th July, 2014 and his name is Sunil Sanghai, our
alumni of 1983-85 batch. We were proud to welcome him to our campus.
His valuable insight and critical analysis on the investment opportunities in India had impressed everyone
who had attended the lecture. His pragmatic way of thinking and his vast store of experiences have really
made us believe that India's journey has begun “from a hopeless end to endless hope”.
The GITA CLUB, on behalf of SIMSR, wish to pay homage to you.You have inspired us and made us believe
that anything and everything that can be conceived and believed can be certainly achieved.
