RM MENTORSHIP
The Jedi masters : Students attending the RM mentorship session
The ‘Mentorship’ initiative was
endorsed by the students as
being informative, insightful,
knowledge - driven and
guiding them in their decision
on career goals.
RM Mentorship is a new initiative by ALCOM to
bridge the gap between the students and the
industry. This initiative will cater to the inclusive
growth and overall development of the students by
helping them gain industrial insights in tandem with
the theoretical concepts. It also attempts to make
the first year students ready to appear for their
Summer Internships with full vigor.
Our esteemed Director Prof. (Dr.) Satish Ailawadi
inaugurated the session, welcomed the alumni and
shared his views. It was followed by a presentation
by Ms. Vidhya Sharma, Alumni Relations, that
entailed the salient features of the program.

Thereafter, they shared their own experiences and
tried to put forward key insights about the retail
industry. They then mutually discussed the
framework for future course of action of the
Mentorship Program. Some of the inputs gleaned
from the mentees for this RM mentorship program
were, “Helpful to learn from the experiences of the
experienced”, “Motivating, supportive and
encouraging”, “Looking forward for more sessions
like this”, “Purpose for which they were there was
well served”, “Informative, insightful and
knowledge-driven” and “Guided them to think upon
their career goals”.
The RM Mentorship program has been set on a
firm foot with mentors and mentees organizing
meets, sharing latest industry trends and planning
out activities. The initiative definitely seems to
promise a brighter side of things for the students
and a sense of connectivity with the alumni.
