developer with 8.5 years of
experience
in
software
development and design. Mr. Sharma during
the interaction stressed upon the need to
have an all-round perspective and to become
a 'T' shaped employee. Encouraging
students to start building their profile right
from the beginning at SIMSR, he concluded
by saying that hard work coupled with smart
work will lead to excellence.
The next speaker was Ms. Sonali Arora who
holds 5 years of experience in the financial
domain and is currently working on Debit and
Credit cards. Her focus was predominantly
on enjoying studies along with co curricular
activities. She encouraged the students to
join start-ups at the time of placements as

The last speaker for the day was
Mr. Mayank Chandan. He has an
experience of above 6 years on
Open Source Development. He
has specialised on web based
development, solution design
and application, infrastructure
design and management. After
working with many big names,
he went on to start his own
venture offering SAAS based
CRM Solution to small and
medium businesses. He listed a
six point agenda that will help
students go a long way in their
career. These include sincerity
towards goals, self-confidence,
technological
awareness,
networking, communication skills
and a business mindset.
In the end, our very own faculty
Mrs. Rekha Rao presented
mementos and thanked the
alumni for sparing their valuable
time in interacting with the
students and sharing their
experiences about the industry.
