Aviation Sarasota Bradenton International Airport
Since Kimley-Horn started working at Sarasota Bradenton International Airport in 2000 , we have completed several construction projects . We were prime consultant for all of our projects , including three individual runway projects , with responsibility from preliminary design through construction phase services . In 2019 , we assisted the airport with planning services , including a master plan independent fee estimate . We were also selected as prime consultant for the design of the Taxiway B rehabilitation . Construction efforts on the Taxiway B project are anticipated to be completed in May 2021 . Most recently , we were awarded the Phase 1 Apron Design , permitting , bidding , and construction phase services contract . The apron will be constructed with concrete and will provide remote aircraft parking for a wide variety of aircraft types . Additionally , consideration will be given in design to accommodate future FBO / MRO and U . S . Customs and Border Protection usage of the apron area .
