BUILDING A WORKFLOW IN A WORLD OF REMOTE WORK AN INTERVIEW WITH CHARLSON & WILSON INS .
We recently had the opportunity to talk with KAIA member Mike Widman , MB , AAI , president of Charlson & Wilson Insurance in Manhattan , about the impact their agency has seen from developing a structured remote and hybrid work environment .
KIA & B : Can you tell us a little about the story of your agency ?
Widman : For nearly 100 years , the agency has placed service at the core of our business model . Unlike many agencies , we have a service culture as opposed to a sales culture . Although organic growth is one of our top internal KPI ’ s , we do not believe you can achieve sustainable growth without delivering consistently great service . Furthermore , we believe consistently great service is a byproduct of employing the top talent in the industry and continuing to invest in their education and development .
How has remote work become a part of your agency ’ s culture ?
Widman : We began to utilize remote work options for employees approximately 10 years ago . It began as a way for us to retain highly talented team members
