hands-on approach to client relationships. Unlike many agencies that rely solely on digital communication, SBS Insurance continues to hand-deliver nearly 90 % of farm and commercial policy renewals. This personal touch, he believes, sets his agency apart and strengthens trust with clients.
" We believe in being there for our clients, especially in times of need," he says. " Having experienced major claims events like fires and tornadoes, I’ ve seen firsthand how important it is to have the right coverage in place. That responsibility drives everything we do."
KAIA: ADVOCACY AND NETWORKING AT ITS CORE
Bryan has been involved with KAIA for many years, learning early on about the association’ s crucial role in legislative advocacy. " One of the biggest things younger agents might not realize is how much advocacy at both the state and national levels impact our industry," he explains. " It’ s not just about networking and education – it’ s about ensuring independent agents have a voice in the decisions that affect them."
Beyond advocacy, he sees networking as one of KAIA’ s greatest strengths. " The relationships you build through KAIA are invaluable. Whether it’ s learning from experienced agents or simply having a network of peers to turn to for advice, the association creates opportunities that help us all succeed."
GOALS AS KAIA PRESIDENT
As he steps into his role as KAIA President, Bryan’ s primary goal is to increase member engagement. He believes many agents don’ t take full advantage of the resources available to them through KAIA and hopes to change that by encouraging more participation on committees and in events.
" We need more people involved in shaping the direction of our industry. If our members are more engaged, we can learn from each other and strengthen the independent agency system as a whole."
Another priority is expanding KAIA’ s reach across the state, particularly in western Kansas. " Not everyone can easily travel to Topeka for events, so we need to bring KAIA to them," he says. By hosting meetings in more locations, he hopes to connect with members who may not have been as active in the past.

BEYOND INSURANCE: A LIFE OF COMMUNITY AND FAMILY
Outside of his professional life, Bryan is deeply involved in his local community. A lifelong sports enthusiast, he has spent years coaching high school football and church league softball. While he stepped away from coaching for a brief period, he’ s now
