" It’ s not just about the wins and losses – it’ s about building relationships with young people and staying connected with the community," he says. " And, of course, those relationships have a way of coming full circle. Many of the kids I’ ve coached over the years eventually come back home, start families, and need insurance. It’ s a natural connection."
Family remains central to his life, with much of his free time spent with his wife, Janet, and their adult children, Bailey, Erin, Evan and Mia. Plus, with three young grandchildren, there’ s never a dull moment. He embraces every opportunity to be present for family moments whether it’ s family vacations or cheering on the K-State Wildcats.

" It’ s a tough market but hang in there. Our customers only deal with their insurance a couple of times a year, while we see it every day. We need to have empathy and be their advocates. Things are starting to stabilize, and if we continue to focus on doing the best for our clients, the industry will be stronger for it."
