REGIONAL NEWS UGANDA Entebbe Airport KAPS continues to push industry standards in our operation of car parking, security enforcement and toll collection services throughout Uganda’s main cities. At the Entebbe International Airport, where we continue to maintain the car park management system, we carried out construction of an upgraded pay point for the auto pay stations. The facelift was completed this year and the enhanced services will be made available from January 2014. Kampala City KAPS has a proven track record of delivering large-scale, complex turnkey projects. Visitors to the mall are already enjoying our state-of-the-art automated parking services and interest in services from other facilities abounds. of this year, we partnered with the Kampala Capital City Authority through Multiplex Limited, the managers of street parking in Kampala, to install 45 modern on-street solar-powered parking meters in Kampala. Uhuru Heights We have completed the installation of a new parking management system at the prestigious Uhuru Heights apartment block situated in Dar-es-Salaam. Mlimani Mlimani Holdings, the owners of Tanzania’s largest and most prestigious shopping malls, have signed a two-year contract. The contract with KAPS has seen us install a parking management system at their Mlimani City Mall. Our aim is to have the installation complete by end of January 2014 and have it fully operational in February. RWANDA Kigali International Airport Rwanda’s economy is growing by leaps and bounds. The general outlook of the country is modernizing fast. And this is why KAPS is excited to be in Rwanda. On 1st January 2013, KAPS signed a maintenance contract for two years with the Kigali International Airport management team to manage the maintenance of the car park management system which we installed in 2010. This parking management system integrates the use of ANPR cameras, auto-pay stations, vehicle classifiers and seasonal cards. 5
