Paperless Management with the new KAPS Finance Module You’ve probably heard about Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, an industry term for the broad set of activities that helps an enterprise manage all core aspects of its business. Well, an ERP finance module is a software program that gathers financial data and generates ledgers, trial balance, balance sheets and other Financial Statements reports. At KAPS, because we have a unique business model, we have developed a unique Web-based ERP that will not only do all that, but also enhances the Management Information System by tracking the key performance indicators (KPIs) required for meeting our corporate objectives. This ERP sits on the KAPS portal, which is part of the Company’s paperless management system. This new Web-based Finance ERP software is used to manage project planning, purchase parts, maintain and keep track of inventories, interact with suppliers, provide customer service, and track orders. The biggest plus is that not only are all KAPS financial figures secure and protected, they are also available anytime everywhere. RFID at the Mara Long lines at the grocery store checkout are one of the biggest gripes about the shopping experience. This problem happens wherever several customers need to be processed at a point of sale. Well, we at KAPS understand this frustration and that is why we use a true e-ticketing technology to manage visitors in Parks, including the Mara Triangle. This technology is well-proven to improve the speed of processing at gates and is consequently widely used by the airlines. Indeed, it is the prescribed ticketing technology by the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Another problem has been how to track visitors for their own safety within the park, without being intrusive. Finally, we believe that we have the solution. KAPS intends to replace the barcode technology used with the issued entry tickets, replacing them with radio frequency identification (RFID) tags. RFID tags are used for tracking consumer products worldwide. Many manufacturers use the tags to track the location of each product they make from the time it’s made until it leaves the point of sale (POS). Now these simple tags integrated into the tickets will interact with a networked system developed by the KAPS team to track every person and vehicle entering, moving within and leaving the Mara.
