Q&A
KC: Now tell us about the team Janet: (Laughs), I saw that coming... My team is made up of both local and international talent. My Director is Neil Scheil, a Canadian Director with vast exprerience in the film industry. My cast includes Jym Iyke, the ‘bad boy’ of Nollywood who will be playing Jack Zollo supported by a host of known Kenyan actors. The crew will be dominated by Kenyans. KC: Why Jim Iyke? Janet: I know that the idea of casting Jim Iyke has been received with lots of criticism. But let’s face it, violent crime is a phenomenal world wide... It’s neither unique to Kenya nor Africa. Reading the Kiriamaiti Triology and deciding to make it a film, I thought of giving it an international appeal hence the resolve to cast Jim Iyke. KC: What keeps you grounded and confident? Janet: I plan. I pray . I practice.
KC: What’s your source of motivation? Nice: I am self motivated. I believe in giving what I do my best. KC: How do you deal with rejection? Nice: We actors know how tough it can be sometimes to deal with rejection, to continue to work the beat at the face of adversity. We know how difficult it can be to continue to strive for our dream of having the wonderful craft of acting be part of our lives. I soldier on. KC: How have you managed to juggle all the roles? Nice: I love what I am doing and I am meticulous in planning and following up.In this industy you are either in or out, I want to be in always. KC: Word of advice for the up and comming performers?
