uncle; nieces and nephews; and
grandnieces and grandnephews.
Donna was born on Dec. 23, 1953
to Charles and Everdene Hodgdon
of Granby, who predeceased her.
After graduating from White
Mountains Regional High School
she attended UVM and received a
degree in Radiation Therapy. She
moved to Los Angeles where she
worked at Kaiser Permanente Hos-
pital for 25 years. Donna loved
animals, especially cats, and
strongly believed in a place called
Rainbow Bridge, where after death
she will reunite with pets of years
past. U.S. Poet Laureate Maya
Angelou wrote a line that best
describes the life of Donna Joy
Hodgdon: “My mission in life is not
merely to survive but to thrive, and
do so with some passion, some
compassion, some humor, and
some style.” Her family says the
following: “Rest in peace little
sister. Rest in peace knowing that
you are loved and cherished by
your family.”
A funeral service will be held
later in the year at the Granby
church, after which her ashes will
be buried in the Appleton Ceme-
tery.
Arrangements are under the
direction of Bailey Funeral Home
in Lancaster.
