2007 in Lancaster from injuries
received during a motor vehicle
accident.
Born September 8, 1989 in
Lancaster, a son of Brian and
Becky (Merrow) Newton, he was
a lifelong resident of Groveton.
A brief memorial service will
be held on July 2, at 10 a.m. in
the Northumberland Cemetery. A
Celebration of Brandon’s life will
follow at Maidstone Lake under

JoAnn Dorris Benton, 87, recently
of Jacksonville, Fla., and formerly
of North Stratford, passed away
quietly in her sleep on June 19.
She was born on Sept. 3, 1929
in Des Moines, Iowa, to Lawrence
and Elizabeth Benton. JoAnn was
a skilled photographer and artisan
with a degree in Fiber Arts from
Franconia College and was an
active member of the local artisan
