Get a digital kitchen scale. These can be found online
for $10. They measure in ounces and grams. Also get
measuring spoons and measuring cups. We believe
these to be vital tools for your success and we strongly
recommend you make the investment. Studies show
that the overwhelming majority of people
underestimate their caloric intake, often by as much as
50 percent! So if your TDEE is 2000 calories per day to
maintain, and you’re shooting for 1500 calories per day
for weight loss, but you are estimating calories rather
than measuring them accurately, the studies say that if
you believe you’re eating 1500 calories, you’re probably
consuming closer to 2250. Which means not only will
you not lose weight, you’ll GAIN weight! Sound
familiar? Measuring is important to your success. Don’t
cut corners. You owe yourself your best effort.
