Chapter 5 CCA & CAS

Mathematics Club

The Mathematics Club focuses on creativity, outreach and community building. Weekly math-jamming sessions allowed members to explore advanced concepts, share insights and strengthen presentation and problemsolving skills, fostering curiosity and collaboration.
The Club led the school’ s participation in the International Mathematical Modelling Challenge, earning one Merit and one Distinction Award, reflecting teamwork, creativity and strong mathematical reasoning. To engage younger students, the EXCO organised interactive activities for Year 2 and Year 3, making mathematics fun and intellectually stimulating.
The club also launched its official Instagram page, sharing Internal Assessment resources, engaging problem sets and clear explanations of advanced topics, promoting CAS initiatives and raising the club’ s profile. The highlight of the year was the school-wide PI Day celebration, featuring themed activities and challenges that involved students at all levels.
