SJI Staff Learning Journey On 21 May 2025, SJI staff embarked on meaningful learning journeys to 10 different organisations, exploring the themes of the Care Economy, Green Economy and Digital Economy, the three areas identified in the Skills Demand for the Future Economy Report 2025 as critical engines of growth for Singapore’ s future.
These learning journeys aimed to give our SJI staff opportunities to engage with professionals in external organisations to gain insights into their philosophy, vision and mission. Our staff also learnt about the challenges faced by these professionals, the strategies they employed to remain relevant and their approaches to training and development in a rapidly changing landscape. Such exchanges offered valuable perspectives on how schools can better prepare students to thrive in future workplaces and contribute meaningfully to society.
The experience proved to be enriching and thoughtprovoking. Staff feedback was highly encouraging, with many expressing appreciation for the meaningful conversations and real-world perspectives provided.
The SJI Staff Learning Journey has reaffirmed the importance of strong connections between education and industry as the school continues its mission of preparing Josephians to meet the challenges of the future.
